Once again, Monbus shows his commitment with the environment. This time, Monbus has purchased six new minibuses which use fuels that reduce harmful gas emissions like, hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2).
In particular Monbus has chosen Compressed Natural Gas engines (CNG), known as well as Vehicular Natural Gas (VNG). This gas reduces harmful emissions, so it is an excellent option instead of using conventional fuels.
The renovation of the bus fleet carried out in 2015 by our company includes different types of vehicles like: two minibuses Mercedes - Benz Sprinter 516 model with GNC engine; one of them with Autocuby bodywork and the other one with Car-bus Spica Urban bodywork. Both models respect the European Law: Emissions from heavy duty vehicles (Euro VI), so they contribute to reduce the environmental impact. They have an advanced equipment, both active safety systems, such as emergency brake system, and comfort elements, such as LED lights, comfortable seats, and one space reserved for people with reduced mobility with double ramp access automatic or manual.
Monbus has incorporated four new Man buses with Compressed Natural Gas engines (CNG) and Castrosua bodywork.
With this bus fleet Monbus wants to improve its services of urban and intercity transport. Monbus joins the Spanish Sustainable Mobility Strategy, which includes the principles and guidelines on this particular subject.
Monbus brings together two of its main goals. On the one hand, Monbus continue the renovation of its bus fleet with 57 new buses in 2015. On the other hand, our strong environmental commitment in the management of the main Monbus business lines.
