XXII Jazz & Blues Festival of Pontevedra.
For five days, the popular squares of the Teucro and Ferreria of Pontevedra will be filled with jazz, blues and soul thanks to the XXII Jazz & Blues Festival of Pontevedra. Between 21st and 26th July, the city of the Lerez will welcome appointments with some of the most renowned musicians in the international jazz scene.
Six free concerts, distributed into Teucro and Ferraria squares, will delight the lovers of this genre. Eric Bibb brings us the best North American acoustic blues. With 35 records behind his back, the New Yorker will present his last record on Friday 25th at Ferraria Square. The bass guitarist Richard Bona will delight us with his jazz-fusion on Wednesday 23rd at the same place. The next day, the vocal touch will be put by Robin McKelle & The Flytones boasting off their last record “Heart Of Memphis”. The national representation comes from the hand of the Galician Xan Campos and his group, Gabriel Peso Trio and Marcos Pin Factor E-Reset. Besides, jam-sessions are celebrated, workshops and jazz in the street to complete the festival.
This XXII edition follows the line of the previous ones, with free format and suitable for all audiences.
