Monbus Obradoiro beats Valencia Basket

Happiness in Compostela with the victory of the Monbus Obradoiro against one of the titans of the Endesa League, Valencia Basket, by 86-83. 

Galician team began scoring three consecutive three pointers, Valencian reacted in defense with a prominent Guillem Vives to close the first quarter with slight local advantage 21-15. 

In the second quarter Dejan Kravic shone with his own light raising the difference to 10 points (30-20). The match was level on points and the Obradoiro tried it again with the outside shot, getting back ahead on the scoreboard at halftime 44-42. 

The third quarter was a give and take, both teams maintained the level with few advantages for all. Vives and San Emeterio took the lead surprising the local defense at the end of the quarter and a three-pointer of Labeyrie left the scoreboard at 61-68. 

At the beginning of the last quarter, Obradoiro team took advantage of several losses of the ball of the opponent team getting back to the match. Local fans roared with the three-pointer of Maxime de Zeeuw  and equalled the scoreboard (75-75). Van Rossom missed one of the two decisive free throws to take the game into extra time (84-83), leaving the Obradoiro free to win the game just six seconds remaining.
