Monbus celebrates the mobility week
One more year, Monbus joins the celebration of the European Mobility Week (16 to 22 September). This European initiative aims to promote sustainable transport measures and the promotion of alternatives to car use.
Throughout this week, Monbus will set up several public awareness actions to promote the use of public means of transport and raise awareness about pollution from individual mass transport. Less damage to the environment, less noise pollution and greater accessibility make the bus a sustainable means of transport, economic and affordable for all audiences.
Monbus will actively promote participation in the Car Free Day in Lugo, which will put the final touch to this week. The urban transport service of the walled city will be free on Sunday 22 September for all citizens of Lugo, becoming the most immediate and effective way to move throughout this day.
In addition, apart from these actions, an activity called 'Sube al Bus' will be be held in Alcalá de Henares. Monbus will set up in the Plaza de los Santos Niños a CNG bus (powered by natural gas) of the urban transport service for all users to discover the ins and outs of this type of vehicle more environmentally friendly. In addition, Monbus will disseminate information about advantages of using public transport and enhance the road to efficient mobility.
