Monbus is committed to reducing its emissions

In Monbus, a firm commitment to the environment and the fight against climate change has been maintained for a long time. As a result, the five most representative Monbus companies have joined the Voluntary Agreements Program for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. It is a tool promoted by the Catalan Office for Climate Change (OCCC) for those who seek to reduce their emissions, beyond what is required by regulations.

Affiliated companies must prepare an inventory of emissions, as well as propose and implement measures to reduce them. These measures will affect both the activities carried out in their facilities and the fleet of vehicles directly related to their activity.

The companies participating in this agreement will have the seal of quality in recognition of the implementation of actions aimed at mitigating climate change such as the renewall of the fleet and the promotion of efficient driving in our society.

In line with the Voluntary Agreements Program, Monbus will launch several citizen awareness initiatives during the European Mobility Week to promote the use of public transport and raise awareness about the pollution derived from individual mass transport.
