Resurrection Fest Festival(Viveiro)
The Viking goddess of the metal sound will conquer Viveiro this summer. This beautiful seaside town that belongs to the province of Lugo hosts this internationally renowned festival, which has become one of the world references of its genre, reaching 33.000 visitors in the year 2013. In its ninth edition, the Resurrection fest has the Californian NOFX as the head of the participants. This band has already acquired cult status in American rock scene after 31 years performing, 12 studio records and 6 million copies sold all around the planet. With its peculiar transgressor style, the leader of the group, the bassist Fat Mike (Gordo Mike) is the owner of the record label Fat Wrek Chords, an essential referent in American punk rock scene.
Important bands such us Sick of it all (the New Yorkers come back to “Resu” with more force than ever and ready to make the audience vibrate with its forceful hardcore sound) or Crowbar and its pure sludge metal from Louisiana are not going to miss this event. The Swedes Amon Amarth, shrouded in a mysticism based on the Nordic legends, from the city of Tumba, are the greatest exponent of the so-called viking metal, especially recommended for the lovers of the darkest sounds…and so on until 60 bands arranged in 3 stages which undoubtedly…are going to delight the supporters of the extreme music, playing the guitar wildly.
