Main Festivity of Gracia (Barcelona)
The festivities of Gracia neighbourhood are to be lived. A week in which the streets change completely their appearance, the neighbours organize themselves to choose a topic for the decoration of balconies and streets with recycled materials creating, in some cases, true works of art. The final aim is to win the competition in which they take part and to get the award for the best decorated street thanks to their work and originality.
Meanwhile, visitors and the curious can enjoy the extensive programme that completes the festivities: free concerts, exhibitions, giants and big-heads, castellers and bastoners, popular groups, terraces... together with the fantastic festive atmosphere in every corner of the neighbourhood, lighted with the neighbouring creativity and full of people's joy and the sound of the music. Undoubtedly, a good opportunity to visit Barcelona and in particular, one of the most representative areas at its height.
