Penedes Vijazz (Vilafranca del Penedés)
The days 3rd, 4th and 5th of July, Vilafranca del Penedés opens its doors to the world with the celebration of the 9th edition of the Vijazz, a festival which meets the best jazz artists together with the most exquisite wines and cavas of the most important wine region in Catalonia.
The celebration takes place in several scenes placed at emblematic points of the town: on one hand, the thousands of visitors who go to the event every year will be able to enjoy Penedés Wines and Cavas Fair, which includes a wide range of stands offering the best vintages for their tasting. Moreover, several additional activities such as guided wine tastings, visits to wine cellars or matches will allow know some of the secrets of this fascinating profession from the hand of the best wine experts and “sommeliers”.
The music is the other great protagonist of the Vijazz. Throughout the weekend, internationally renowned artists will delight the audience with their performances completely freeat two sceneries: the Saint Francisco Rambla, in addition to the traditional one at Jaume I Square.
