Summary

Monbus promotes the accessibility

Following the International Day of Disabled People, Monbus reviews the measures adopted with the goal of promoting an accessible and adapted public transport service. The worldwide celebration takes place every year on the 3rd December following the agreement (resolución 47/3) of the UN General Assembly.  This agreement was adopted the 14th October 1992 for the purpose of attracting public attention and supporting disabled people and also, promoting their integration into society.

The effort carried out by our company is reflected in the fact that 1 out of 2 buses of our fleet are accessible to disabled people (PRM). This term includes people who has a disability related to mobility and those who has difficulties for other reasons (elderly, pregnant, adults in charge of children, etc.).

These vehicles have a manual or/and mechanised elevator platform and also, a reserved space. This means that it is guaranteed a number of spaces, in good conditions and clearly identified, for people with reduced mobility in wheelchair. These spaces are clearly identified to facilitate boarding and disembarkation process under the control of a professional driver.

All these measures show our commitment to provide an accessible and adapted service to each passenger both regular transport service and occasional service.
