Monbus bets on natural gas buses
Monbus adds five new vehicles with compressed natural gas engines to Alcalabus fleet, company in charge of urban services in Alcalá de Henares. However, this time Monbus has chosen Citaro Euro VI NGT model which belongs to the prestigious german brand Mercedes - Benz.
These new vehicles, presented to the authorities of the mentioned city, enter the fleet together with MAN buses (GNC engine) that currently are working. In addition to reduce the environmental impact, they are fitted in terms of accessibility in order to make easier the transfer of people with reduced mobility, since they incorporate the kneeling system, reserved space and double ramp (electric and manual).
These new purchases shows the commitment of Monbus following the guidelines marked by the Transport Consortium covered by the Sustainable Mobility Strategic Plan within the Community, as well as the continuous progress in accordance with the three strategic values of the company: quality, security and environmental sustainability.
